There are a lot of fake Hitler's circulating. Truth is, the confirmed Hitler pictures never showed any people, apart from faraway splotches when painting buildings. He obviously wasn't well versed in drawing lliving things. One of the major reasons the academy rejected him.

You know how bad you have to be to get rejected by an art academy? Like, fingerpaintingly bad. And he managed it twice. So yeah, a career in politics was pretty much inevitable after that.

He wasn't that bad. Just boring and lifeless. That's what the acedemy commission said. Lifeless pretty much fits the bill of someone having no empathy.

That's one of his pieces. My hometown, actually.

Actually, that is pretty bad.  if all you can draw are lifeless buildings, you should know how to do perspectives right. I doubt this painting would sell at a garage sale.

Doesn't matter if Hitler was a Christian or not. 97% of the adult (non-Jewish) German population identified with a Christian religion. The churches bought into fascism wholeheartedly and after the war the pews filled up like 1933 had never happened.

Hitler passed the law that he and Jesus were not Jewish because of a picture of a gravestone the British published that might have linked him with the Jews. Though later it was prove the two were not connected. Hitler was a paranoid nut that would do anything to prove he wasn't a Jew. Claiming to be a Christian doesn't make one a Christian any more than someone claiming to be a doctor. The Medical Association's have standards for doctors, just as God has a standard for one to be a Christian. Rest assured Hitler wasn't a Christian, he couldn't even pass for anything less than a monster.

You're wrong. Hitler was a Catholic until the end of his days; he never renounced his faith. He made references not only to "Providence" but to "the Lord, almighty in weapons", in his speeches. He was of Austrian citizenshp, but of Germanic ethnicity.

Christians -- not just Hitler, but many hundreds of thousands of German Christians -- murdered almost six million Jews and another five million Roma, Slavs, Down's Syndromes, gays, and non-whites. The machinery of the camps was operated by Christians in the vast majority.

You'd think that if Christianity was such a force in moralization, the hundreds of thousands of Christian Germans would have arisen in revolt at the evil tasks they were assigned. But how many actually did?
