If this is a mental disorder, then why do we allow the patients to run the asylum? Why do we have mentally compromised people trying to set a national policy that allows them to indulge their disorder?

You are assuming your analogy holds for all relevant aspects of the situation, but it doesn't necessarily follow that because people have a problem in one area, they are therefore unsuitable for all other areas that you would like them to be unsuitable for.

I think the most important argument is that there are plenty of women out there who would not feel comfortable with a physical male going into the women's bathroom/lockerroom while they are in there doing their thing. 

But to force trans people to use bathrooms that align with their physical sex, that means you can run into this guy in the bathroom/locker room. 



Someone who might have the body of a man but the genitals of a female. How much more comfortable will that make you?

And if you were to alert the police upon seeing him, how would he prove he was a female? 

Pull out his birth certificate? How many people carry that around with them?

Pull down his pants? And then be fined when he refuses to comply? Or worse; allows his privacy and basic human rights to be violated?

The government will never go through the time or effort to place a third restroom in public areas all across the country, and we both know that. 

Easy and simpler solution: Let the transmen pee in the men's room. And let the transwomen pee in the women's bathroom. You aren't solving the problem by stopping it. You are creating more.

Just like many people are saying on this forum, they are fully functional in society, just like may people with mental or physical disabilities are.
You have a real discrimination problem, man. What's the problem with people just being who they want to be. They're not hurting anyone except themselves; when dicks like you come into their lives and say they can't be who they want to be.

I don't know about the Government never doing that. A third bathroom would benefit a lot of people going through difficult situations, not just trans people.
