Okay, crazy, man.

It's clear you have psychological issues.

And how is banning transsexuals from using the bathroom going to stop that from happening again?

You were able to find such articles because there is a right wing Christian campaign in America against the transgendered right now because they lost the battle against gay marriage. Transgendered people are facing the backlash.

Transgendered people have been around since there have been humans. They have been trying to live their lives the best way they can. Only in the last few years have they started to be accepted, at least in modern day society. And this acceptance and acknowledgement from the larger population has brought the ire of the bigots and Christian far right who are running out of targets.

Well, in America that is, not in all of the rest of the world. Definitely not in northern Europe. And this is an important point to consider. If it was a problem with the transgendered population, then you would hear of this happening in other countries where trans people can use the toilets (bathrooms) of their desired gender and have been given rights and protection in law. Instead there have been great strides made where trans people can change their birth certificates to reflect their new status and get married as such.

Think about this. A male to female transsexual from the UK say, could move to North Carolina and use the woman's bathrooms and even get married to a straight American man and no one would be able to do anything about it because and they wouldn't even realise. Their birth certificate and passport would both have Female written on it.

So don't worry about what might happen without looking at other countries to see whether it actually does.

It doesn't.

There has been a whole body of papers in the scientific literature now for the last couple of decades. It used to be that they were only able to determine this after death via autopsy but now it can be determined while the person is still alive.

A sex change would never fit it as a "necessary" surgery. John who weighs 500 pounds and is at risk would be covered for his surgery to lose weight, John who is a healthy and wants to become Jane cause he feels he is a woman on the inside, should not be covered under his PPO or HMO for a sex change. He would have to pay 100% out of pocket for the sex change.

Yet John who wants to be Jane never asked to be transsexual. John who weighs 500 pounds and is at risk chose to eat that much (unless they have a condition where they can't help it). And both are at risk. John who wants to be Jane won't just get on with life living as a man. Probability is that they'll either find a way or they'll kill themself.

Gender reassignment is not the same as cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgery is not necessary.

What you are constantly missing out is the fact that the transsexuals who have had gender reassignment aren't the most vulnerable. 'Sex changes' aren't easy to get, especially in America. As has been pointed out many times now, a transsexual has to live full time in their chosen gender for at least a year before they can get one. In most cases it can be many years even in countries where gender reassignment surgery is covered by medical insurance or on the national health service. And if it isn't then it's an awful lot of money that needs to be saved up by someone who is more likely to be discriminated against in society and therefore more likely to be poor.

And in all those years, they are still transitioning, still passing as the gender they identify as and extremely vulnerable. This is the segment of the population that you are advocating become more even more vulnerable.
