Are we supposed to ignore our first amendment because of these people? No. I support that pastors decision to do what he did. We have the first amendment here, and the only things that the afghani's are proving is that they can become blood thirsty at the slightest offense.

Put him in jail for burning a koran? Sorry, but we here in America consider that his first amendment right. He hurt NOBODY when he did it, as was his right to do so..last I checked it was the blood thirsty muslims who are killing people who had absolutely NOTHING to do with this book burning.

I don't know any group of people more deluded and dangerous. They take offence to the slightest thing and since they have nothing to lose, it makes them far more dangerous. It's like some kind of time portal transported these dark age people and dropped them here to interfear with modern society.
Which would explain their desire to control people with fear by blowing themselves up and flying planes into buildings and trying to drive us back to their dark age.

I am conflicted about this war..half of me hates war pigs, but the other half thinks we should blast these extremists back to Allah.

rj I disagree for the simple fact that his actions affect so many other people. Knowing how extreme most Muslims are in the middle east, and knowing that we have troops there and other American civilians there it's outright criminal and irresponsible in my view. His actions are the equivalent of accessory to murder in the sense that although he did not commit the murders himself he set in motion the events that would lead to the murders.

Part of being a moral person is being a responsible person and this mans actions were just outright irresponsible. His actions led to various deaths and the toll continues to rise. There is no justification for what he did amendment rights or not. Afghanistan is not America and do not adhere to nor acknowledge those so called amendment rights. He should have thought very carefully about the consequences of his actions before he burned the Koran, if he wanted to do it so badly he could have done it privately in front of his church lawn and not make an international affair of it. Video taping the event and posting it on youtube was even more stupid.

We are not popular in the middle east and this does not help one iota.

I say leave them to their own devices, we should pull out of the middle east and let them continue to fuck themselves out of existence. We have enough problems here in the states to be fucking around with a war that has been going on in the middle east for 4 or 5 thousand years. Worry more about fixing this fucked up economy, creating jobs, etc. I saw a story on Dateline about many of the soldiers coming back and being homeless, some reward for going out there and fighting for your country our government needs to get their fucking priorities straight on a lot of issues that affect the American people as a whole.

I agree, Chatpilot. Leave them to go kill each other. Why should we care. Those barbarians should be ignored and laughed at from afar. Bring our boys back, send some missiles over with a few bombs as pay back and make damn sure the border police stay awake to keep them out.
They can't terrorise if they can't get in.
