I'll take that little good over the world of hurt electing Trump would likely give us.

I'll take it too. I'd just rather see more than a little good come of a Clinton presidency, and that can't happen so long as the GOP has a strangle-hold on the House.

I don't remember, but who controlled congress when Bill was in there? Whatever, he won't let Hillary flounder. A vote for her is a third term for him (sans the blow jobs, of course).

A Trump win coupled with dem landslides in both the house and senate making them able to overide vetoes.  Might be  a not too bad outcome.

Hillary stymied at every turn like Obama has been with pubs in the house and senate constipating everything  isn't going to make me very happy.

It is important that we do something about the congressional predicament.  A Trump administration stymied by a dem congress won't be any better as far as implementing policy.

I don't know how much success Hillary would have moving Congress but one thing's for sure: She won't take their obstructionism lying down as Obama has. She'll make them pay a price for it. In a way, she'll have it easier because most of the public is wise to obstructionist tactics now and are sick of it.

Politics is the art of the possible. Trump's positions, sketchy as they are explicated, simply aren't possible. The fact that he lays them out anyway tells me he's so stupid that he doesn't realize their impossibility (which I don't for a moment believe), or -- and this is much more likely -- he's a prostitute too, saying what it takes to get votes.

Hilary's positions have the benefit of being connected to reality in a much less-tenuous manner.

It's hard to see what Trump being elected would do to anything except our reputation...which is already so deep in the shitter you couldn't slip a piece of rice paper under it.

Appointing Supreme Court judges is something.  Further deregulating business so that it is easier to poison the air and water and steal the life savings of normal people.  Ensure that we make no progress on global warming.  And, as already mentioned, throw our military around in unpredictable ways.  There is much that Trump would likely make worse than Hillary would.

Don't forget, trashing the Bill of Rights, justifying that bad reputation, eliminating the illegal immigration problem so the gov won't have anybody to blame when they fuck up the economy, choosing bankruptcy as a viable means of handling the deficit as he did with his own finances...
