Pet pleasures

This is the thread where you tell us about the small things in life which please you.
I'll start. I love waking up very early, like five-thirty or six, and I can't hear anything but the birds who are excited because they know the day's coming on. I feel like I have the entire world to myself.

Yeh. Me too. Cheers, yo.
Silence. I enjoy thinking. It's really special to me, this thing called silence. I like being alone and spending time with my thoughts. I grew up being told not only what to do, but also what to think. When that stopped, I imagined doors. Here I am and I want to think about this thing right here (opens door). I explore the room. I want to remember something and swim in the memory (opens door). I explore this other room. I'm protective of my silent time. I don't take interruptions well. That's why I love to travel by road alone.
That reminds me. Another one is road trips alone.

I sure do. Funny to learn this late in life that happiness doesn't come in sixers.

Running outdoors at night and feeling that cool breeze as you run.

When the wee girl is peacefully asleep, to sit down at the piano with a glass of red wine and play a mellow tune. To go running through the forest in the evenings, stopping at the clearing on top of the hill and listening to the birds singing and watching the bats whizz across the path. Cheese Fondue. Chatting with wife about nerdy stuff over dinner.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
