Go ahead and read it a bit.

Dogs and cats are not the same. I think a good scratching post is all you need instead of trimming the claws. If you decide to, be sure to have gauze and anti bacterial cut spray/cream on hand for your arms.
If it is the sharp part that is damaged when they scratch a scratching post, then theoretically the non-scratching part can overgrow just like a dog's. I intend on asking a Veterinarian about trimming a cat's nails, since what is written online things like PetMD and people on here seems to bisect.

Wet food, preferably a kitten mix.

Give him a while and the dogs should acclimatise to him

and no to declawing. It's cruel and extremely painful gor the cat.

Cat bed.

I would never declaw a cat. My cat has her claws. She was spayed, and that was as far as I was willing to go.

Lots of cats still seem to have this very natural instinct to hunt and survive on their own, so it seems awful to cut off their claws. It would be like cutting off a human's fingers

The reason I am opposed to declawing, the only reason, is that if the cat was to get outside and have to fend for itself, no claws would be a certain death.

Don't ever hold a cat against its will. If it starts to squirm, let it go. Cats can be as loving and affectionate as dogs, just on their terms (Min's slave meme).

I know this for a fact. My cat hates to be held.

When she wants attention, she will bump me with her forehead.
