Yes. I don't know the software workings on phpbb, but it's pretty easy on vBulletin, and makes navigating music threads much simpler.
It would add to forum content by allowing members to demonstrate creativity and form an online music community where we can exchange ideas, critiques, and self-expression. I sure hope the Staff haven't wandered off and forgotten this thread. Perhaps those interested can continue bumping it? I'm subscribing to it. I don't want to forget again.
ETA: And while we're at it, why is there not a notification option for subscribed threads? What is the point of subscribing to a thread if you might miss a post because it sank to page two before you were aware o the new post? This makes no sense. A subscription should carry at least the option of notification.

@Alisdair Ham
I bet your music is awesome! But I won't know until Soundcloud support is added to the site, because following external links makes baby Jesus cry.
I've heard a few of his tracks. He's got some great, atmospheric grooves. I'm hoping that when I get my recording setup put together, we can collab -- his is the sort of stuff I don't compose easily but love playing for.
Me, too.
I'm not super-awesome but I like composing and I can play piano pretty well-- bit of blues, jazz, classical, whatever. Let's 1) get Soundcloud going, and 2) celebrate.
btw Alisdair what software do you use for your songs? I use Fruity Loops but I've also used Cubase before.

I have used Cubase in the past, along with Proteus X Soundbank. I also have used Ableton Live. Unfortunately I lost my licence keys for them
For these songs I just used a cheap £20 music program called Techno 5 by Ejay. It's defunct now.
I've always wanted to try Fruity Loops. I might buy it (and buy Ableton Live again) when I have some more money. Is it as easy to use as Cubase? I'm very familar with Cubase so I may just buy that again.
Whatever other software I buy when I have the money, I absolutely am buying Ableton Live again, it allows me to record and play my music live which I adore.

If you post links, I'll follow them offsite ... but I'd rather be able to listen in-thread (hint-hint, Staff).

CD said on page one that if he's able to he will do it. I don't think any non admins are going to be able to do anything.

@CthulhuDreaming knows about it. When he gets a spare moment, he'll copy the code over.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I think Thump is just concerned about it getting forgotten about.
@ Thump, we won't forget. I didn't notice CD had already responded about it on page 1 of this thread
FUCK I love life. What the hell is it with my mood? Ever felt so inexplicably happy that you struggle to not tell anyone about it randomly?
Like, sorry to digress although it seems the same with unhappiness. It's hard to repress any intense emotion.
