The links work to bring me to sound cloud. I'm not a fan of sound Cloud because I always have to bed on of my computery friends to make it into something that my phone will actually play.

Oh right I meant "bed one of my computery friends" not "bed on" I don't throw beds at people to get what I want

Hmmmm. . . not sure where to get the right link? I put in the share address of a song, and it's not working for me.

This wasn't easy to do. I had to do "embed" then get the api.soundcloud link address in the format of api.soundcloud.com/tracks/#########, then hand-edit.

Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to get a song embedded?

Also, when Alisdair did his, it showed the player, but when I copied this guy's address, it doesn't show the player controls. Am I doing something wrong?

In soundcloud, go to share, click Embed.

I believe it's the src parameter you want, or the url parameter.

So that's working great, thank you!  Dude, I mean duuuuuude-- where's the +100 rep button?! 

Okay, I got it working like this:
1)  Choose "embed."  Copy the url to notepad, and copy out the url = https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/#######. 
2)  Hand-change the %3A to ":" to make a correct https address


If possible, I have a request-- can you add width and/or height variables so we don't necessarily have to put each track in spoiler tags?  Also, if possible, any chance of adding a toolbar button with the Soundcloud icon which will let you just add by putting in the main URL?

I got this address by choosing "embed," then pulling out the https url.

I found that when I first clicked "share" I got this address, which is not the same one: "https://soundcloud.com/benjamin1973/devil-music". This works too:

But for some reason in both ways, I can't see the play bar where you can set where in the song you are listening and see the cool waveform view of my song. . . The sample I did of Adam Lasher didn't show the play controls either, but all of Alisdair's show them. Hmmm, how did Alisdair get his working? Do I have to set an option in soundcloud?

I also noticed that mine has a "like" button at the top right side, but Alisdair's has only the share button. I don't understand why two guys' links are giving a different visual output in this way.

About the "like" button. . . I said that it pops up for Alisdair, too, after I start playing the song. So now the only thing is. . . how come the player controls don't show up for me, but they do for Alisdair?

Yeah, it's awesome the way it is, you've done your job perfectly.  Now I gotta figure out what's different about Alisdair's tracks/account/whatever that lets the player controls pop up.

btw do you get this same result?  Alisdair's songs show the play bar, but mine do not, right?
