The difference from classical liberalism or left was that in 50s reformed marxism of socialism happend in frankfurt school germany, this became more popular during the vietnam war in 60s and 70s on colleges and universities (Which i linked too) The alt right is most likely a reaction to how it has evolved into, which is an alternative right wing conservative movement.
They figured if they can be loud enough they will win, much like the new left in present time. Which is why i think politics in the past sounds somewhat better for that reason. Not that i like politics or the past so much in general.
Bernie is for workers rights, not one party states. Trump is an opportunist just like Castro was.
He's for fighting for minority rights (whether its for good reasons or not) and making more people go on welfare by turning a country into a welfare state just like any new left socialist politicians are in scandinavian countries or any country where new left socialism is implemented. with high unemployment rate where corporates and bankers own anything while people are on welfare, You don't need Stalin for that they are doing it fine on their own.
