Let's ask him directly : Dragonspride 1995 - I reject Jesus as my Lord and savior. I reject the idea of one god ( or any gods). Do you think I am going to hell? John 14:6 New International Version Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you fail to accept Jesus Christ by the time of your death you will go to hell. I believe your comment is irrational and insane.

The wholeness of the message of Jesus and the way he lived his life, points much more to following his ways than simply saying the word. A person can follow the ways of Jesus without being a christian. That is, a person can strive to live a life of honesty, kindness, humility, etc etc, without even having heard of jesus. And that person is following Jesus much more than those who say they believe in Him, but are not good ppl. This was a very clear message that Jesus gave to the pharasees.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

And like so many others, this shows how it's so easy for someone who is otherwise potentially capable of reason and compassion having allowed their mind to be poisoned and their morality to be corrupted because of a stubborn refusal to see something as clear as day for what it really is. How anyone can fail to be triggered when someone uses that little three-letter word (sin) so loaded with hateful ideas and implications is beyond me.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
--- There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views. The other catholic in this forum (ignorant) has said similar things. We are not a religion of "saved by faith", which is why so many protestants think catholics are not real Christians and will also go to hell.

And what would you say if someone proposed that Jesus was a hypocrite and not deserving of being idolized in any way, and nor is knowledge of him or any of his messages necessary to live a moral life? That's all secular morality is, the good stuff religion claims it monopolizes and yet without the nasty side effects. Also, how do you know that you're right and the other Catholics (or Protestants for that matter) are wrong?
