we know that vowels are interchangeable, but I don't see that we can add or subtract them. I'll denote the number of vowels with a numeral instead of listing them. So:

It just means that, if a work like "watch" works, or any word with, say, the letter c in it, we can replace that letter c with "sn" and it would still work.
So, if "watch" works, then "watsnh" works. If "cooked" works, then "snooked" works.
I don't know what it means, but there's gotta be some kind of relation between the letters if they can be exchanged with each other like that.
