It was done underground. You know...in secret.

Glad to be rid of that glass eye tho!

Glass eyes are great for pranks, though.

Walk past a group of school children, pretend to sneeze, throw a glass eye at them.

Though the screams sometimes get annoying.

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

But...but...I don't speak Italics. And, further more I deny that I hit the button for that language.

However, I did piss off the faeries that morning... Oh crud!

As for labeling myself, I find that covered when I submit that I am a complicated person just like everyone else.  When one is an often conflicting mass of viewpoints experiencing various scenarios of life, it is hard to keep within the lines one has set at an earlier time.

I think the only label that I would put on myself is "materialist."  Everything else is up for discussion. I am not concerned about the labels others place on my words and actions.

Hope that doesn't make me sound too harsh; I am actually a soft, nurturing type...really.

Why is this in italics?

Does this mean you're a material girl or is the status of your pudenda not for general consumption.   Tongue

Anyway, welcome again or for the first time, which ever.

Here we go, according to my computer's dictionary:

<<materialism |məˈti(ə)rēəˌlizəm|
noun
1 a tendency to consider material possessions and physical comfort as more important than spiritual values.
2 Philosophy the doctrine that nothing exists except matter and its movements and modifications.
• the doctrine that consciousness and will are wholly due to material agency. See also dialectical materialism .>>

Hmmm, I was going to say that the second one describes me best, but...gosh, I do consider material possessions and physical comfort more important than "spiritual values" whatever they are.

Oh here they are:

<<spiritual |ˈspiri ch oōəl|
adjective
1 of, relating to, or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things : I'm responsible for his spiritual welfare | the spiritual values of life.
• (of a person) not concerned with material values or pursuits.
2 of or relating to religion or religious belief : Iran's spiritual leader.>>

Still not quite right, since I do value values.

<<2 ( values) a person's principles or standards of behavior; one's judgment of what is important in life : they internalize their parents' rules and values.>>

So, I am a materialist with values, that is, I don't reason that there is anything except matter and I have strong values developed from my own reasoning.

I have no idea what my pudenda has to do with any of this. Does that mean I am totally clueless? Maybe just not..."hip." Why don't I have smilies to choose from? Oh..probably because I have an ancient iMac with a browser that is woefully limited.

Well done Omnibus, carry on. I especially like your motto....and your avatar. I hope my 80s are something like that.

Thanks for the welcome.

I think I once tried to join, but something went wrong with email or the human-proving thingie and I didn't complete the membership. I remember some usernames, so I probably read some posts.

I checked the membership under other usernames I have used in the past and did not find myself there.
