I have never lied about his position. At best misunderstood, but not even then. The worst part is that he wont even listen to you after you state your own history of owning firearms.
I have not misunderstood him on bit. I see the same behaviors of blind loyalty to his position as I do when people defend a holy book. You and I both have rightfully expressed concern about his dreamy eyed talk of "If then I'd" as if firearm use was an arcade game.
Not once have you, being a firearm owner, talked like him, or bragged like him. Maybe you can talk some sense into him.
I didn't say you lied about anything.

I know you were not accusing me of lying. I was simply adding to what you said.

If gun manufacturers left this country entirely - the NRA would persist to continue doing exactly what it does now, while the corporate gun lobby would cease to exist.

How does pretending we live in a gun free-for-all serve the cause of effective gun regulations, or any other policy that might curtail a real problem that really exists?

The corporate gun lobby is the NSSF, not the NRA.

OH bullshit, I could give a shit what loophole dodge of a name you want to give the NRA, they are there to act as a heat shield to protect firearm companies.
That's like arguing chewing tobacco isn't tobacco because it isn't a cigarette.
They not only collect money from their members, they get huge donations from the firearm companies and they court politicians too. Now if you want to claim that is not a lobby, I could give a shit less, they still do that.

Buddy, lol...the NRA -does- lobby, but it's not the one that you're talking about when you talk about corporate lobbies protecting manufacturers. Another lobby does that, quietly. The NSSF. They're far more effective at that task due to their relative anonymity, whereas the high profile nature of NRA efforts and allegiance point to the actual service that -it- provides.

You agree they do lobby. AND, BOTH are not designed to promote gun safety, BOTH are heat shields for the industry.
So all you are pointing out is simply a lesser known entity that is still part of a protection racket.
The NRA receives donations from the makers, do they not? The NRA courts politicians do they not? <----If I am correct then nothing in your post changes anything. It simply is being pedantic on your part.
