I rarely browse the forums on my phone, and the button works in Desktop Theme, not in mobile theme.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I use the Dolphin browser. It's a much more complete browser than chrome or Firefox or any other I've tried on Android.
Used to be a bit of a pain when writing text (like this one), but they improved it about a year ago and now it's good all over.
Switching between mobile and desktop modes is super easy, has a great night mode and you can select where to download each individual file (although, since Android 5, they forgot to include the option to save to SD card, instead they excuse themselves that they just can't and move on... But other apps can write to SD after some permission setting, so it's possible)

@cd, your problem is you are not on the mobile theme while using a mobile device. The desktop css sometimes ends up causing overlaps and blocks actions, due to screen size differences. Switch to the mobile theme on chrome and you should be fine. I use chrome on Android half the time I'm on here and everything is fine so far.

I'm a Chrome fanboy.
I run an educational website, and whenever people say something is off with it, I just say, "Yeah. . . download Chrome." They do, and that's the last complaint I usually get-- at least of a technical nature!
