I played earthworm jim for the N64 and couldn't get past the first level, didn't really know what to do? I couldn't comprehend anything like that at the time. But the best game on N64 was by far legend of zelda ocarina of time for it's playability. Then when I got the playstation 2 the best game for that was the old Star Wars Battlefront, it was like a call of duty multiplayer to me. I got the gamecube and had 2 favorite games for that, they were Luigi's mansion, and my favorite Sonic Adventure 2. I played that game for days when I was young and if I could find it i would still play it. I also had very old consoles, like the Sega Genesis Megadrive (2nd Gen) and they had good games on there. Also had the Sega Saturn. Best game for the original playstation was Battle Hunter, but didn't come out with a new one. Right now I have an xbox, and a wii. But I only play on my xbox 360. Best game on there for me would be cod4 and mw2. Any call of duty game made by treyarch isn't considered one in my book. They are all bad, only thing they had was zombies and it's just a one hit wonder.

Worst game by far is every silent hill game, it's so redundant Sad

SW battlefront was class. I used to play the second one online on my ps2 and absolutely loved the all jedi mode. Those are some fun memories Tongue

Best game I've played in a long time. I never got to play online because I didn't have internet but if a game can entertain me without the use of multiplayer than its perfect.

When I as younger I wasn't into games. I owned a NES until I got my first PS when I was 16. The only game I had was MGS and it blew me away. To me there has never been a game that has affected me more than that series. It is full of endearing moments, ie avoiding enemies in your cardboard box. To epic 4 hour long boss battles Ie The End in mgs 3.

It took story telling to a whole other level. It was the first time when your enemies were grey, fighting for a different cause different from your own, rather than be out and out evil. TEach one is unique and fantastic. Bosses like Pyscho mantis, Revolver ocelot, Sniper wolf, The End, Vamp, The ninja, Big Boss are a marvel of design. They had unique backgrounds where I actually took time to reflect on some of those kills. Wondering there motives. Feeling genuinely sad, sometimes almost heartbroken when the final shot has been fired . None more so after fighting the boss on that field of flowers at the end of MGS

Lastly the music is just superb. I am in love with the MGS soundtracks. In my opinion no game has ever came close to the music of metal gear, From the initial theme to the orchestral scores every track fits the atmosphere perfectly it adds to your experience some songs chill you to the bone some leave you just hanging off a ladder to listen to for ages. . it is often breathtaking always emotional and nothing has came close to emulating it

I never got into Metal Gear Solid. Took to long to get pass enemies constantly changing camos. Need some more action in it and it would be good.

Rainbow Six Las Vegas seemed to do all of that. Always a fun game Smile

I liked MGS 1 and 2, but couldn't get into three. The beginning turned me off hard.

Before the Xbox 360 I've never owned a console. The first game I played on my Sharp Mz-800 was called Nakamoto, a platform game where you could also create your own levels. This was back in 1986.

I also made my own games for the MZ-800, my best one so far was "boksen", a boxing game with vector gfx. It was slow and not very accurate, but I was proud on how I managed to compose and squeeze "Eye of the Tiger" out of the 3 tone sound generator. Smile I used this machine well into the first years of the 90's, until I got a Commodore PC20-III. There I played Prince of Persia on Hercules monochrome.

After a year of horror and pain, I saved up enough money and bought a new PC, a AMD 386DX40 with 387 Co-processor. There I played a lot of games on and was active in the Demo-scene. I had that computer for many years as it was top-of-the-line when I bought it, and was one of the first in the Netherlands to have a CD-Writer so I could save a lot of data away from my hard drive. I played 4D-Stunts by Broderbund, The incredible Machine (a Rube Goldberg puzzle game), Lemmings, all the Leisure Suit Larry games (up to 5), and many more awesome games.

I then had a DX4-100 which was a piece of crap, followed by a PII-600 which was a good pc, I used it mostly for Doom3D, Duke Nukem, and Quake. I skipped the P3 era, and went for a AMD Athlon X2. During this time gaming was on a low, the only game that I was interested in was GTA3, and its sequel, Vice city. I did play a little Medal of Honor Allied Assault, and Wolfenstein 3, but that was pretty much it. That was also the time I was mostly active with building my combat robots, and that took a lot of time, and being a board member of the Roosendaalse Computer Club I hardly did anything for myself on computers.

Now I have only a laptop, and an Xbox 360, where I mostly play sandbox games like The Saboteur, and Assassins Creed II and Brotherhood.

Best regards,
Leo van Miert
