One of my concerns now, but won't be at some point, is the anticoagulation effects of aspirin and some of the others. I get post-op + however many days the dr wants and then that would be a possible palliative.
Before surgery they get hissy about aspirin, and for me, aspirin really works well, I tolerate it VERY well (thanks to the folks who make Prilosec) and it's really safe from the 12 Stepper angle. But bleeding out during surgery is kinda a drawback.
Aspirin irreversibly inhibits platelet aggregation (a clot formation thingy) for the life of the platelet (8 to 9 days). NSAIDS are reversible and subside as the medication is eliminated from the body.

Smack your thumb with a hammer. You'll forget all about that gall bladder - and it's organic, natural, and not the least bit addictive.

Appreciate platelet information. I wondered why the clearance time for aspirin was so long.
Now I know.

I'm on oxycodone for my flank pain due to kidney stones. It seems to take the edge off.

While interesting, reviews/critiques of the study discuss sub therapeutic doses of APAP for the opioid/APAP test groups.
Just saying.
