One of my reasons is ... I don't get the worship thing. If the God fellah is so great and cool, all-knowing and stuff, how come he's got this massive inferiority complex/ego that apparently needs being stimulated all the time by people singing songs about how wonderful he is - actually they use a capital "h", too, which is weird - did they do that in the original language? However, I digress - which is pretty normal for me.
Not just songs, either. They build special places/spacial palaces and write vast poem type things and tell each other over and over what he - sorry He - is supposed to have said to particular blokes (usually blokes) at particular times in history ("his" & "story" ??) , then everyone starts worshipping him again. If "He" was me I reckon I'd get pretty bored with all that crap and send a BIG MESSAGE to that effect.
EG: "I'm God ... I'm a figment of your imagination ... Stop going on about how great I am and get on with sorting out your problems!"
Something like that anyway. Probably better ... I'd be God after all so I'd probably be more better with words than I am now, and more intelligent too. I'd guess so, anyway.
