"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Looking at CL's first post, the link indeed starts with https. So they should work.

But the hotlinks to the emojis themselves don't.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Ahh. Well I was just going off of the possibility that the "s" in her link might not have been seen. I know nothing of any of this techy stuff. I'm just stupid. Kameron had to figure out how to reset the Xbox after I spent an hour looking online for some help.

He's 13.

He wants to go to college to be a gaming programmer. Or something like that. I don't know. I'd like to see him get into cyber security because that's where it's all at. He could do very well in that field, I do believe.

He's my second retirement plan.

Well, shit works funny here. I spent an hour a few days ago getting all the emojis in a post to work right. Rarely worth that much effort except in that one special case. Won't do it again, though!

Yeah - I just feel so stupid when I can't navigate around technology and my kids mock me for it. Life was so much easier before computers. People had to talk to each other instead of having texting relationships.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Before facebook, I had to walk around the town telling random strangers what I had for breakfast. Kids today don't know they're born.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
