Anyone live near Washington DC?

We’re flying out May 24 and returning on the 29th. So a short stay. We’re staying with friends and plan to do a lot with them. But I hope to take one day to visit gardens near Philly. We’re going to the Smithsonian museum on the African diaspora since a former student of Lia’s can get us in and will see a show Lia has work in. But I can sneak off at some point to get coffee or a beer. I can’t remember if anyone lives near there.

I used to live in the suburbs of DC in Va, but that was a very long time ago.

No where near, but I can give you some advice.  When you get to Washington, DC, find your way to a well known coffee shop called 'Tryst'.  At the first table to the left of the front door will be seated a red-haired man wearing a blue overcoat.  Go up to him and say, 'The oyster owns a fine wristwatch.' 

Follow his instructions exactly.

Me too.  I was in Prince Georges county, Maryland during part of middle school and my first year of high school.  Found out what a snow day was.
