I feel kind of sorry for Stimbo because it looks like the situation is completely out of his conscious control but at the same time... Can you really pity a person that threatens to rape others? Literally the most revolting thing I've ever seen, and as some in the admin/mod team might remember, I've seen some shit, even on these forums.

For my part, I didn't think people were being insensitive at all. I was pals with Stimbo from way back. I always thought he was a nice guy, but he always said things that were familiar from the incel movement. I was slow on picking it up, but he definitely has a feeling that women owe him something, and that they're evil for not giving it to him. No one can be blamed for not noticing it.

For what it is worth, I was talking to Stimbo a couple hours ago when this all came out on the forums and he seemed sober and level headed at that time. Said he definitely regrets what he said and that there was no excuse for his words/behavior.

He is a witty and intelligent person. The severe depression combined with a lot of alcohol makes him say things he doesn't truly mean, things that the real Stimbo who is thinking clearly wouldn't have said.  

(For reference: In his drunken state he has talked to me as though Sam is still alive, and has also asked me to pray for him.)  

It doesn't excuse the awful thing he said to Jack, but it does put it into context.

Well, when stinbo left the staff, it was an admin stuff and I didn't make much out of it. Ya know red stuff. Heh, i have stepped down a couple of times.

Curiousity started killing me, so I thought we all should know more. When Stimbo talked about not recognizing the staff anymore, that triggered my curiosity. Damned stuff kills cats so they say.

I have personally called the guy because I wanted to help a friend. Monotone okays were the best I got. Now I know it was not by being a friend, but because I wasn't a female of confort.

I wish there was a hell for me to torment you for all eternity, you sorry piece of arse.
