The staff doesn't want you out, they just want to help. The staff here are very very objective and fair, and people are only ever banned for breaking the rules, not for personal reasons or for having unpopular opinions. emjay Wrote:x Yes, of course I would never mix up '' and'. You are so right, I could use a break, this has been as horrid an experience as it has been s a great experience. Duane
I've just tested, and the final thing is just to make sure there are no spaces inbetween the word 'quote' and the '=' and between the '=' and the author. So:
Code:
This displays correctly.
Instead of:
This doesn't display correctly.
In that case, yeah best take that break. But as I said, staff here are fair, regardless of their personal feelings, so as long as you don't break any rules, you shouldn't get into any trouble.

Don’t be dishonest. You got the warning before because you were totally screwing up quote after quote even after being given instruction from staff on how to quote properly. And yes it does disrupt the forum. No one is banning you even though you’ve continued to fuck up quotes even after you were warned because at least it’s better now than before.

A moderator notice in a thread isn't a warning or any other form of punishment. It's just a moderator informing you that they've fixed your butchered quotes as best they could.
And, yeah, software requires precise inputs. Computers have no intuition. Simple forum software like this can't look at a malformed tag and go "Well, negatio really meant to do this, so let's do that instead of what he commanded me to do."
Welcome to the 21st century.

No! If they are warning you for disruption, it's for the disruption that has already happened throughout the entirety of this thread. Cocked up quotes, whether intentional or unintentional, do disrupt the forum, both since they do not accurately cite members words, as well as creating extra work for the staff to fix... and they make it an eyesore that is very hard to follow for anyone.

Jormungandr completely, totally, absolutely understood, all on her very own, the simple, simple, radically simple logical progression of, and the meaning of the disproof, and, reported that understanding to us. She took the time to concentrate on what she was facing in the text, and came out a winner!
Abaddon, a whole bunch of the time you have your facts mixed-up. Although I cannot possibly thank you enough for showing such concern for my situation here, wow, thank you! Negatio.

\Losty' Wrote:You have received a warning from the staff of Atheist Forums for disrupting the forum functionality by constantly misquoting. Apparently, the forum employs a demerit-type system of punishment, wherein the particular punishment platform entails a threshold-scaled scoring apparatus, whereby accumulated unintentional acts of human error add-up, until reaching a climactic point at which a destructive ''Staff" punishment misconduct is triggered, wherein a human person is harmed by the infliction of shame and exile via a Soviet-style jurisprudence.
Said staff misconduct, including Losty, consists in the mistaken human habit of exhibiting what is known as "existential absurdity", which exhibition of existential absurdity constitutes a particular instance of a jurisprudential delusion/illusion, wherein something given and contained in the world is named as the reason for the punishment, in lieu of the true human basis for the punishment, which is actually to be found in the free human project of the punisher(s).
