Excerpts:

'The hypothesis that the brain creates consciousness, however, has vastly more evidence for it than the hypothesis that consciousness creates the brain.'

'Neuroscientists can predict human choices from brain-scanning activity before the subject is even consciously aware of the decisions made.'

'Thousands of experiments confirm the hypothesis that neurochemical processes produce subjective experiences.'

In other words, consciousness is a function of neurochemical activity that takes place in the brain.  When the brain ceases to function, consciousness can no longer exist.

In future, you should probably check what science has to say about a given topic before posting here.  It might make you look (slightly) less like a drooling imbecile.

One more fool that doesn't know that hypothesis are not evidence has spoken.  Smile

And what about the point that ..........when the brain ceases to function, consciousness can no longer exist...........

Let me correct your writing Boru.
You should rather say..............when the brain ceases to function, consciousness can no longer stay inside the brain.........

Why the consciousness should stay one minute more inside a dead brain?
Would you stay inside the wreck of your car one minute more?

For God's sake Boru.
Can't you think properly before you come down with this sort of garbage?  Smile

Your consciousness seems perfectly happy to stay in your dead brain.

The point we're making is that there is no evidence for the consciousness going anywhere after the brain has died. You are simply making the same mistake every theist makes in reference to god's existence: filling in the gaps of knowledge with what you want to believe rather than accepting the fact that despite current knowledge and understanding on the subject, there is no evidence for the continuation of the consciousness.

All your fallible NDE poppycock is not evidence of anything except your gullibility.

A quick google search and: https://www.sciencealert.com/harvard-sci...sciousness

Your link say...............Scientists have struggled for millennia to understand human consciousness - the awareness of one's existence. Despite advances in neuroscience, we still don't really know where it comes from, and how it arises........

So?

Didn't I said that science still know next to nothing about consciousness?

DIDN"T I Chimp? Lightbulb

Like some "Holy books" written by savages have anything to offer besides depressing fairy tales about horrors of afterlife.

Ok.
Let us forget about NDE evidence and instead rely on the fact that if there is no evidence for one belief or the other we should rely on what make more sense.
And what make more sense the fact that evolution is unstoppable until it reach a goal?
Why evolution should stop at the human level?
Million years of evolution from matter to plants to animals and then to come to a brutal stop as it turn into human?

You guys clearly can not see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Banging Head On Desk

And now you're confusing the consciousness with evolution. By all means, persist on this pointless journey of yours, but don't expect me to take you seriously.
