With my voice? Nah.

I'll be doing orienteering, geocaching, plain old hiking, and golfing. And having some campfires. But for rainy days and evenings, I like to have the computer. I got PlayOn and loaded a bunch of movies (way more than I need). It's the greatest week of the year.

Me? I actually looked that up on YouTube just to see what it was... and it was very weird... a shootemup but with very weird characters like a guy with a dog on his back... really didn't know what to make of it but I've never really played any of those sorts of games like call of duty (another one I looked up on YouTube and was impressed by the technology of it but have never played it). I was slightly introduced, indirectly, to fortnite through the notion of 'battle royale' which another game, age of empires 2, borrowed from it in some of its recent maps - as in an encroaching storm that forces action into the middle of the map - so that looks pretty cool. Yeah, I'd be willing to play if I knew what console it was on and it didn't cost too much to get one

The dog is pretty cool. The characters are weird because that's how they make their money. The game is free, but people pay for cosmetics upgrades, dance moves, etc. It's a pretty cool model.

We (AF plays more than me) play on PC.

Ah, right... so it's basically like a Facebook game. Tbh I usually avoid games that involve 'in app purchases' especially for 'virtual' benefits like in game currency etc; I mean that just seems a recipe for addiction. So like as much fun as Angry Birds is, I'm not willing to pay to play it in the sense of buying powerups. It's not about being cheap but the principle of spending money on virtual and transient benefits like power ups etc. But if it really is possible to play a reasonable game for free, then I'd be okay with it. Ie in fortnite do you have to buy these cosmetic changes and/or can you gradually earn them, albeit much slower, by playing?

Right, cool. I might have a look at it then at some point, and if you were serious about wanting to play with me... though I can pretty much tell you in advance I would not make the most skilled teammate in a game like that... then we could try and figure out how to do that

It's completely free to play. You can't buy anything that gives you an advantage. And yes, you can earn cosmetics slowly just by playing.

Yeah, I was serious. Would also play with others here, but last time I mentioned it no one was playing.
There are different modes of play. We play the 50/50 mode, in which the 100 players are split into two teams of 50 each. That way even if you suck you'll survive for awhile and learn. Within the team of 50, you can have a squad of up to 4 people. So, we would squad up, and then we'd be able to talk while playing.
Let me know if you sign up.

Oh, okay... excellent it's very comforting... and innovative as well... to hear that you can't buy advantage, so yeah, definitely sounds interesting.

Well, I'm playing a mafia game of sorts at the moment, but after that, I'll certainly look into it... since you've definitely whetted my appetite here
I can just imagine the sort of games you're talking about here from seeing one of these Battle Royale games on YouTube... ie starting with a lot of players that quickly get whittled down to just a few survivors in the middle. So yeah, as long as I can see some sort of progress in the game... however minimal it is; 'you ended 99th... 93rd... 85th place'... then I'll be happy... and just look forward to the day I'm not just someone else's low hanging fruit

I'm going to have to play more of the Witcher 3 now.
I've finished the main quest and I'm working my way through the DLCs. I play for a while, get frustrated, leave it for a while and then go back.
It's a good addiction.
Currently stuck on fighting a naked vampire chick.
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:
"You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
