Yeah, it's not, and nobody said it was. I'm saying drunk sex isn't automatically rape, and it's not cool to tell women they can't handle their liquor, so they can't decide to have sex if they're drunk. I did it plenty of times.

To be perfectly clear, I don't think the station did anything wrong. They can play whatever the hell they want. I think the overall objection to the song from anyone is misguided.

Sick dirty fucker!
Quote:You come on like a dream, peaches and cream
Lips like strawberry wine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine
You're all ribbons and curls, ooh, what a girl
Eyes that sparkle and shine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine
You're my baby, you're my pet
We fell in love on the night we met
You touched my hand, my heart went pop
Ooh, when we kissed I could not stop
You walked out of my dreams and into my arms
Now you're my angel divine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful and you're mine
You're my baby, you're my pet
We fell in love on the night we met
You touched my hand, my heart went pop
Ooh, when we kissed I could not stop
You walked out of my dreams, and into my car
Now you're my angel divine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine
You're sixteen, so beautiful, and you're mine
You're sixteen, you're beautiful, and you're mine
All mine, all mine, all mine
All mine, all mine, all mine He's English and in England 16 is the age of consent.

Back in 1982, before my time, the BBC banned a song called "Six months in a leaky boat" because they thought it was a parody inspired by the Falklands War.
It was just bad timing by the band.

And their is the question of what happens if the rapist tries to use a drunken yes .When the person didn't mean it ?

If the station was going to pull the song based on the comments of a few, why did they take a poll and then ignore it? Was this just pretense that their listeners had a say in what was played?

Drunk sex is an impossibility to me, like it was heroin sex. To us men, it really hinders performance. Perhaps only cuddle?
It is a thing apparentely, to have sex with drunken girls, I remember I denied a girl that otherwise not drunken despised me, and other guys called me gay for taking her home safely. I really liked that one.
A woman must be perfectly sober to enjoy the little LP's awsomness. That is what I keep telling myself.

It's too drunk when you can't say no. Here's the thing, if you're willingly drinking, you're not being roofied. If you become incapacitated, that's an obvious no. If she's even ill, extremely uncoordinated, it's also an obvious no. There's a clear line. It's not difficult.
You can totally use a drunken yes. Drunk isn't incapacitated, and drunk is not drugged. A person usually drinks willingly. Obviously, forcing a person to drink is different.
Coercion isn't a problem without an imbalance of power. If you mean no, stick to it. If you wind up getting fucked anyway, you've been raped.

No, but drunk reflects a compromised ability to consent.

Not always. It depends on how drunk you are, and the situation, but I still think it's pretty obvious. Most of the time, the consent is at least implied before the drinking. However, if you approach some fall-down drunk chick on the street and talk her into your van, it's clearer.
