Ooh. My son has been using that effect whenever he flies out from a tower, just cuz. But it hadn't occurred to me to use it for that purpose. Will definitely try that today!
It takes -some- of the fun out of it, like figuring out "the move" in any other game.

I went in there with too little food, and not many arrows, and only a couple of good weapons. The puzzle took me a long time-- like more than an hour for sure. Then, I think I'm finished, and this freaking lightning dude comes in. It took me about 20 tries to realize that the way to beat his 2nd stage was to bust his shield by throwing my best Ancient Weapons at him (I cried a little) and then doing that flying aim trick and nuking him with bomb arrows. (I didn't have any ancient ones). I gotta say-- the shrine quests in general are freaking amazing. Like. . . you could make a game with nothing but the shrine quests lined up, and it would still be one of the best games I've played. About those ancient weapons, whenever there’s a blood moon the shrines with tests of strength get reset—you can badically farm them for ancient weapons. I have all the Major ones marked on my map so I can sweep through them whenever I need more ancient weapons.

There are also decent farmable weapon spawns either on top of towers or within glide range of towers. The royal claymore on top of woodland tower. The gerudo tower cache under the mountain to the west on the plateau directly north. The great thunderblade on a similar n/w glide off tabantha tower. The great flameblades in the labyrinth, to the island in the lake west of hyrule tower, and at the great skeleton west of gut check rock...where you can mass rupees with a fun minigame and the climbers gear/stam build/stam consumables. My usual reset run, from scratch, is farming durians off faron tower to make mighty and hearty fruit, then looting the weapon spawns above and using those to start the shrine guardian chain farm or lionels. When I've crushed all of that, I farm rupees and ancient arrow mats, sometimes hitting the streams for stamfish, until the next reset. If I want to do something for the lelz, grab the hyrule shield and reflect the guardians stupid eyebeam, and/or hunt for the perfect horse.
