I have recently gotten into idle mobile games.

The three I currently have on my phone:
Idle Miner Tycoon
Coffee Craze
Idle Heroes of Hell

I’m currently playing Decursed, a cutesy game about freeing an island from a purple goo monster by making food and supplies for the inhabitants. It sounds rubbish but it’s a lot of fun and addictive. You can visit other people's islands and help them out with their orders.

I’m also playing Age of Magic, a turn-based RPG battler with awesome graphics. It has a huge variety of heroes and challenges and a lot of strategy.

They’re both "freemium", which means free to play but you can speed up progress with real money. I never pay, I play for free.

I played Decurse until I got mad that I couldn't finish the entire wizard's tower in time (wasn't aware of a time limit till it was too late), and so I uninstalled it.

I was doing some checking, though, and for some reason Decurse is basically just a remake of Sunken Secrets, both games owned by the same company. Not sure why they created Decurse instead of just bettering the game they already had.

Hmm, that’s weird!

Yeah, you’ll need a lot of fountains to get to the top. I’ve got close but I don’t know if I’ve got quite enough yet. I’ve cleared most of the visible island now, with just one annoying tentacle left and I need to fix more houses before I can progress.

They just brought in an Easter egg event which is quite cool, and there’s more content clearly on the horizon. The 24 hour events triggered by filling the whale up three times are a real bitch to finish, if you have anything to actually get done that day!

"Don't Look Up". Usually played while walking or driving.

I’m also playing "adventure communism", freemium of course. It’s incredibly simple but absolutely hilarious.

There's a new idle game that I am quite enjoying. It's about evolution.
