What will Trump say?

I don't give a flying rat's ass what Trump has to say.  Hmph

It's just so out of character for him not to tweet about this, though!  Not yet, at least.

I do, because that fucker has his hands on the nuclear codes. I'd also care if I found  out if someone like Ted Bundy was living next to me.

I read that there is a plot to "tackle Trump" if he should ever try to launch a preemptive nuclear strike.

I'll have to look up Ratburn, as I have no idea who he is. As far as launch codes go, they're inside a suitcase with electronics made in China. It''ll probably explode with all kinds of cool colors made with lead and cadmium based paint when the button is pushed.  Naughty

Twenty-Two seasons. I can actually remember watching the show as a kid. Is it strange that I'm a little less than 30 years old, am conversant in Golden Age Hollywood cinema (to the point where I got giddy when this 88-year old film got a Blu-Ray release), and somehow it's this realisation that makes me feel old?

I somewhat remember a book depicting Arthur, but I do not recall ever seeing the television show.

Being ten years older than me (and thus well outside the prime demographic for PBS Kids when the show premiered) might have something to do with that.

Okay, I just remembered that this isn't actually the first time a teacher character in a kid's show was revealed to be gay. This episode of Hey Arnold aired 18 November 1998, Exactly 20 1/2 years ago.

Technically, they don't actually go out and say it, but between the wine, his bitter parents who seem to disapprove of his "friend", and his open love for ballet (among many other cues), it's pretty easy to conclude that this is their way of showing that Mr. Simmons is actually gay without running afoul of Nick's 1998 Standards and Practices board (creator Craig Bartlett has confirmed it elsewhere). It's made a bit clearer in The Jungle Movie, though not by a lot.

The PBS affiliates in Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama were offended by this:

And, so, decided not to air the episode:

Time -- Alabama bans gay wedding.
