What is next for the United States?

RE: What is next for the United States?
It's a good question, and obviously none of us can know. At the end of the day, I see abortion as a women's health issue; not something that should be a concern of our government, other than providing women with the necessary resources/funding to pursue said healthcare. I believe in stratification, but universal healthcare simply makes sense. A healthier nation makes for a better nation, and at the point where everyone is given healthcare, there is much less of an excuse for failure.

Some people will always be at the bottom, and some at the top. That is the nature of humans.

But when it comes to abortion, I don't even see why this is a debate. Very few people see abortion as some "get out of jail free" card. For most women, or at least the women I know, it's actually a mentally tormenting thing to go through. Especially if they were raped. And now the government is telling these women that they have to give birth to their attacker's child?

Absolutely insane.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.

How is it madness? Much good could come from CDF's meandering. Witness the magnificence of my five-pronged argument:

1) The DNA thread needs to die already. The only way I can see that happen is to distract the one giving it constant CPR.

2) We've all heard the design argument like a million times. It's time to hear some of CDF's other erroneous ideas.

3) I think he may be a good guy. He said he supports nonviolence. I'm a bit skeptical because he says swords are involved, but with a little convincing, CDF might come to understand that "Swords are bad. They hurt people." That ain't gonna happen in the DNA thread.

4) He's a "froll." You remember what that is? I miss Rik, and I'm using CDF as sort of a blow up doll to get over the fact that I'll never have sweet intercourse with that super-special yogic nutjob again.

5) It's a free forum! CDF can post wherever he wants! The Christians often contain atheists to one part of their forums. Anyone who joins our forum not only ought to be allowed to post anywhere they want... they ought to feel welcome to.

Wink Wink Wink

Let me be clear.  By “madness” I simply mean, it will annoy me. 😛

At the risk of annoying you: What's a "froll"?

I do know because I invented the word.

It's a "fun troll." A "froll" is just a blend of the words "fun" and "troll." That's what I called Rik once, and you thought the term fit and/or was funny-- I'm not sure.

Lol, I don’t remember that, but I like it!  Sick Ricky had his moments for sure. *bangs head on desk*

Little Rik was my first signature. When I joined his name was Ricardo or something like that. The quote was about how silly it is to think reading books makes you smarter

I agree. It’s insane.

Half the people I’ve talked to are sure Roe v Wade will not be overturned, but half the people are sure it will be overturned. I have no idea what to think but I’m definitely nervous
