Hey! Some state schools have decent philosophy programs. And people (like myself) who went to state schools (because they couldn't afford anything better) aren't to blame for the education they got. Blame the system. And, btw, this is the most elitist shit you've ever said. You might want to travel out to the Appalachias where a community college education is positively erudite. There is a reason that Plato begins describing the ideal society by proposing a robust system of education.

Plenty of students who go to state schools deserve better. And plenty of mommy-and-daddy-funded ivy leaguers deserve worse.

My first degree was from a state school.

I apologize for saying "state school" when I should have said something like "mediocre school." I'm aware that there are plenty of good people in state schools, and plenty of mediocre people in non-state schools.
