I think it is extremely important for atheists to talk about everything in life on line and outside our doors. There still are plenty of theists who paint us as one giant evil gang who love dictators. Certainly those numbers are in decline. But it is still important to even show our differences here too, especially in politics and economics, because we are just as diverse in those topics too.

We are never going to have a perfect planet where everyone agrees on everything all the time. But yea, it is important that long term it becomes less important.

To be fair, some of the folks who left started a metric fuck ton of threads. Just one of them leaving probably cut traffic in half. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it would be nice to see more new threads, even if I'm not particularly into half a page of threads like, "Let's Talk About Me," "Do You Hate Me?," "Guess My Current Mental Illness/Excuse" and my favorite, "It's Everyone Else's Fault But Mine." I do enjoy substantive threads about people's personal lives, but I'm not into the blogging clogging the forum.

Yet the ownership caved into the most juvenal member's demands that they be allowed to post trash and click-bait. The ownership caved into the least common denominator. Is it really a surprise that many members went out seeking more adult conversation?

You very briefly had a policy prohibiting click bait. You redacted it in a matter of days because a bunch of whiners who like to post click bait complained about it.

I like Min, but to be fair he posted pretty much the same 3 threads 3,759 times. So really it looks like we have a lot less traffic but most of it was Min talking to himself.
