RE: What's everyone up to right now?

I was convinced that my sweet potato pie was the end all and be all of pies.
And then today I tried my hand at a buttermilk pie for the first time.
It's official: Perfection now comes in TWO flavors.
Lawd, ham mercy...I don't dare take this pie to a big event. The daggers shooting from of all these Southern gals' eyes would surely kill me.

Could your pies make it over here in an envelope first class?

I'm feeling good about it but I thought the withdrawal symptoms would be slightly less by now.
Bad enough that I don't want to have to go through it all over again.
I gave up drinking.
Worst fucking day of my life!

Sure. In a photo, certainly.
Lol...Wouldn't be nearly as tasty though.

Dad's watching a Discovery documentary about the Chupacabra, and I pointed out that the legend came about because, and I wish I was making this up, some woman in Puerto Rico saw the movie Species and decided it was actually happening.
See the original witness' drawing of the Chupacabra:
And a statue of Sil from Species in her fully alien form:
And yes, Tolentino did confirm she had seen the movie Species before making that report. This shit is documented.

Yesterday, I watched one that should go in your list: Presented by Netflix, copyright from wonderful year of 2018, a horror extravaganza called "The Open House": https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7608028/
I don't think I've ever seen so many one star reviews on IMDB, before!

Link to the project, please? It’s in the “Last Movie You Watched” thread. One post there every week since January, when I started with “Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas”. And this week, I’ll be doing The Snowman.

Yeah, it’s on there. It made TVTropes’ So Bad It’s Horrible list (the one prerequisite I have for the Project, so I don’t put “So Bad It’s Good” movies or merely polarizing movies on it), it’s on Netflix (although the other condition I made is that those films had to be available on DVD or Blu-Ray at my local library, but if it’s on Netflix, this can change) so, I’ll probably take that on.

My fault for not going near that thread.

Cleaning up after a smashing housewarming party. At it's peak our house was chock full of people.
We have more than enough libations left over for another party or two, and enough food to live on for weeks. If I had realized how goddamn big the portion sizes were going to be I'd have ordered half as much from the caterer.
