The greatest moments of your life will be those defined by love, the worst will be those defined by grief. Utterly unlikely. Totally indifferent. Leaving believers to piss in the wind with their prayers and hopes. I'll wade into the water a bit then. You seem to be assuming that suffering is inherently bad. People here are also assuming that injustice demands punishment, when it could also demand reconciliation. I believe that hell is justified. I also believe Hell is a freely embraced condition rather than a forcibly induced punishment. I also believe the doors of hell are locked from the inside to be more poetic.

If needless suffering isn't inherently bad, what is?
Looks like I won't have to worry about hell; I've got a pretty good idea of how well I would stand up to excruciating torture and will be looking for the doors forthwith should I find myself there. I'll worship whatever you want if you hurt me bad enough.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
Hell is merely that which we psychologically inflict upon ourselves in this life. That people want to extend it to after death, well they are entitled to their brand of crazy.
