Love's opposite is hate; it's the very well known -and official- antonym of the word.
It's not even the topic of discussion in this topic; i.e the OP is not discussing the "hypothetical parallel meanings of famous words". In other words: discuss the OP; it's better for the reader.

Only in the sense of 'love'meaning 'to like'.
Whilst hate might appear to be the opposite of love it isn't anywhere near as powerful an emotion and grief is quite literally the loss of love.
The greatest moments of your life will be those defined by love, the worst will be those defined by grief.

Given that God has the wherewithal to end (or at least ameliorate) human suffering and clearly does not, an indifferent God would be the very definition of psychopathy that the OP was going on about.

Therefore, God deserves to be in Hell.  It's, you know, justified.

I'll wade into the water a bit then. You seem to be assuming that suffering is inherently bad. People here are also assuming that injustice demands punishment, when it could also demand reconciliation. I believe that hell is justified. I also believe Hell is a freely embraced condition rather than a forcibly induced punishment. I also believe the doors of hell are locked from the inside to be more poetic.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

If needless suffering isn't inherently bad, what is?

Looks like I won't have to worry about hell; I've got a pretty good idea of how well I would stand up to excruciating torture and will be looking for the doors forthwith should I find myself there. I'll worship whatever you want if you hurt me bad enough.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Hell is merely that which we psychologically inflict upon ourselves in this life. That people want to extend it to after death, well they are entitled to their brand of crazy.

Congrats, you demonstrate again that everybody makes up their own religion.
