People here are also assuming that injustice demands punishment, when it could also demand reconciliation. I believe that hell is justified. I also believe Hell is a freely embraced condition rather than a forcibly induced punishment. I also believe the doors of hell are locked from the inside to be more poetic.

If needless suffering isn't inherently bad, what is?

Looks like I won't have to worry about hell; I've got a pretty good idea of how well I would stand up to excruciating torture and will be looking for the doors forthwith should I find myself there. I'll worship whatever you want if you hurt me bad enough.
