An asshole tried to single out Pakistan because they saw a mass group of Muslims packed in like sardines in a religious ritual. How the fuck is that different than the story of Jews doing the same fucking thing at the Wailing Wall? How is that different than churches in America ignoring the same warnings? It is not.

I am fine with ANYONE saying "You should not do that". I am not fine with anyone singling out any race/religion/nationality. 

Again, it is not a Chinese virus, it is not a Muslim virus, it is not a Jewish virus, it is not a Christian virus, it is not a Buddhist virus, it is not a Hindu virus. It is simply a virus. My cousins are engaging in risky behaviour to "prove" that God is protecting them. They're holding hands in a ring round their churches to "keep God's mercy inside the ring and protect the church." If any of them die from this the deaths won't be recorded.

I'd like to point out that you are the one who started this thread titled 'Rename the virus.'  Now you are saying that naming a virus is fucked up.

With different strains of viruses it's important to know which one you are dealing with so that it can be treated in the best way.  Otherwise it would be a free-for-all when it came to treatment.  Oh, you have a virus...here's a virus pill.  There is not one virus and therefore not one effective treatment.

There are often multiple tropical storms/hurricanes developing at different stages and in different places with different potential paths.  Naming them helps people keep up with which one is where.
