Again, gaslighting is attempting to undermine someone’s trust in their own sanity, which is absolutely not what I’m doing.

For whatever it’s worth, I really DO correct you in the hope that you’ll get better. I don’t think that you’re stupid, but I think you make a lot of stupid-sounding mistakes as a result of being lazy and careless. I had hoped that by pointing some of these out you’d opt for self-improvement instead of lashing out. I’m starting to understand that I was wrong.

So, you be you. Go right on saying things that aren’t true or correct or right or well thought out. I’ll leave you alone for a while.

Yes, it is what you are doing. By admission of "I really do correct you in the hope that you'll get better". 

But you make petty digs claiming six year olds are better than me. That is the very definition of gaslighting.

I don't think you care, otherwise you wouldn't talk like that. You really do want me to question myself, but not for any positive change, but to boost your own ego. 

But trust, me, I have thick skin, I am not losing any sleep over your immature attempts to belittle me. I simply find it annoying.
