Putting it in my mouth
RE: Putting it in my mouth
Daughter gave us some banana bread when we left the granddaughter's birthday dinner last night. That's what's for breakfast...pretty yummy.

A sashimi trio of salmon, tuna, and hamachi. I need to do this more often.

I'm a member of an antique truck forum, as I have one. In one thread, the talk drifted (like on here, or anywhere else) off, to sushi in this case. Many people chimed in about not eating raw fish. One of the guys said that he had no problem with eating something pink. It's a pretty conservative bunch of people (and discussing politics is strictly verboten, as well), so I didn't reply that, "I wouldn't touch this comment with an 11 inch pole!".  Hehe

Penne pasta with a sauce made from roasted heirloom cherry tomatoes from my mom's garden, fresh herbs, freshly grated parmesan, and parsley.

We follow a couple of cooking channels, one a Canadian stoned dork and another an Australian stoned dork. The basic recipe we adapted from the latter.

It's indescribably good, and there's no meat in it. :boggle:

I've issues with reflux, and can no longer eat tomatoes or onions. Or bell peppers (and of course, no spicy peppers).  Doh There's other stuff on the list, like chocolate, coffee and alcohol, and I'm working on reducing the intake thereof. I think that caffeine reduction is going to be my bête noire. I guess I shouldn't complain too much, as most of the people in my family didn't even manage to survive this long (68) to discover these problems.

I take them every day, and use Famotidine on a regular basis. Famotidine has side effects (bone loss) that I don't want to entertain, if used long term. The simple solution is to eliminate foods that cause the problem. The wife and I went to Panera for lunch. I got a sandwich without tomato or onion.  Dodgy I love tomatoes and onions. Just wait until you get old, you'll end up with foods that you can't eat. And I don't mean that as a curse; it's just a fact of life. I hope that it never happens to you.

I get reflux when I think of food. Omeprazole is my savior.
