Just ran across this guy who copied a post ABBA song by Frida. I know it is is not studio and is rough, but damn, I really like his guitar work.

There are 14 y/o kids who play better than that, and I don't mean prodigies.  I mean kids at every School of Rock in the country.  He should have put the mic where it captured less pick noise and more of the backing track.  Seriously, that was lazy and shitty.

To be fair, 37 also thinks Vernon Reid is the greatest guitarist of all time. Given that, it’s not surprising that he’s impressed by the mess above.

Vernon/Living Colour kick ass. 

That original video I posted was not claiming studio quality, but it damned sure was talent. 


I got to meet Living Colour at the 9:30 club, basically Washington DC's version of NYC's CBGB's club.
