Race: human-ish

Australian by birth, Anglo-Celt as my personal culture. Australia was pretty homogeneous for a long time because of the white Australia policy. We really only wanted people who looked like us. Due to a severe labour shortage, we grudgingly allowed Greeks and Italians from the 1950's. Because we preferred Brits, there was a cheap fares scheme for them. 10 pounds sterling person. (by ship) If the person left Australia within 2 years, the full fare became payable.

Ethnicity:  Irish Celt 100% on both sides.  Both families are even from the same county, Galway.  The white Australia policy was dismantled in 1973.

I've been meaning to have a DNA test done.  I haven't bothered because  I really don't care. I've been to Ireland a couple of times. Last time was in 2000 when I back packed around the South for a bit. Really loved it, but in truth enjoyed Scotland more.

There are only a few countries in which I feel safe and comfortable. In order, they are England, Ireland and Canada.   (my mum was born in Vancouver)  There are several other countries I love as a tourist, but in which I would not live on a bet.

Mostly European (British Isles with some Scandinavian thrown in), with some Asian in the mix and a tiny amount of Maori, on my father's side (not that you'd notice the latter, bro).
