Those Political Memes
RE: Those Political Memes
Neo.   The "they" in that statement was a reference to the primary speaker, not the other person........

Christians do have a problem though, with wanting to be treated like royalty while treating others like shit.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Apparently wanting to be identified as the gender you are is equal to wanting to be treated like royalty. I wonder if a racist decided to refuse to use a black colleague's name because he believes black people are sub-human and instead starts calling him N$%%@boy is the black person demanding "special consideration" that a slur not be used in place of his name because the bigot has "sincerely held beliefs"?

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Helios, that was really low...Kavanaugh is fair game, but the anguish of an innocent minor being trumatized by a politically motivated legal prosecution is not funny.

Are you referring to the spree killer Rittenhouse who killed someone for carrying a plastic bag and another for carrying a skateboard with his army quality assault rifle that he had illegally. If that kid had been black he would already be rotting in prison if the police hadnt killed him first.

Yes, that's the way Fox News has always portrayed it.

I am going to predict that Rittenhouse gets off.  The judge is biased toward the defense, and Rittenhouse said all the correct "coached" things on the stand.  By his account, a mob was about to murder him, while he was just minding his own business.  I'm not sure the prosecution has disproven this.

I think he may get a mistrial with prejudice, (believe that's right term for "prosecutor can't retry") because the prosecutor made the mistake of arguing with the judge and pissing him off = by trying to get stuff that had been ruled inadmissible evidence, in front of the jury.....

Dumbass needs a different job....

edit to add -

and even if they get a conviction - it'll be solid grounds for an appeal..
