This "quote" is all over the Internet, but Nietzsche never said it.

People who want to know what is true shouldn't repeat falsehoods.

Google seems to affirm it's a Nietzsche quote.

The actual quote from Der Antichrist is: „Glaube“ heisst Nicht-wissen-wollen, was wahr ist.

Google translate renders this as: “Faith” means not wanting to know what is true.

It seems the quote is authentic, though some might translate it differently.

This is the first time I've ever seen the source of the quote cited. You are correct, it does seem to be real.

I apologize, I was wrong.

"Science is not a heartless pursuit of objective information. It is a creative human activity." -Stephen Jay Gould, born on this day.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
