Not adding my name to the end of my posts.
Also, doing some writing.

Not watching baseball.
Also, not Boru. Fireball
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
Trying to figure out how to impart the knowledge of respecting personal space to our Malinois mix, who has zero familiarity of the concept.
Also not Boru. Good luck with that. Though Cavaliers are known for being Velcro dogs, Quinn curls up by my stomach and then scooches back as close as he can get. It he got any closer, he'd be behind me. Not Boru either.
Fuck me. Comcast's feed of the Chiefs game is fucking hosed.

Recently had some scares revolving around losing my media player (and its accompanying bag) and phone holster. I eventually found them and hit on a good idea for how to make it harder for me to lose track of them:
Why, yes, I do have a rainbow trout hanging from a parachute in my room. And now, after almost two decades, it actually has a practical use besides being a surreal bit of interior design I used to one-up an old display at American Science and Surplus that had rubber chickens hanging from parachutes.

So ready to get out of here (work) and rest at home.

It is so humid that the floors in the house feel damp. But the temperature is at that weird point where I can't decide if I should turn on the air or the heat to try to dry things up a bit.
Moved my DVD copy of Minority Report to the garage as my pre-election ritual.
Why? Because, Election Day 2004 (the only Presidential election in my lifetime where the Republicans won the popular vote), I happened to watch it from a library copy. Then, after 12 years of not having it in my home, I bought it from Half-Price Books. Shortly after, Trump won. In 2020, I got the idea of leaving it in the garage until the results were clear. That year, Biden won. I didn't try it in the midterms in 2018, but, at this point, even if I know there's no real causal relationship between my keeping a DVD of a specific Tom Cruise film in my home and the way the elections go, the threat to our democracy is too great for me to take any chances.
