Eating vegetables and braised salmon. It was going to be grilled, but it's been raining, and the cover is on the grill. Can't be asked to remove the cover and stand in the cold and damp (actually, more like walking back and forth in the cold and damp) just to have it grilled instead of braised...it's still tasty!

Waiting for a friend to call so we can have our weekly phone chat.

I'm listening to a boring podcast and trying to gain something insightful/meaningful from it.
Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yes, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards to children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel. 🙏

Got my graphics card back from the manufacturer today. It seems fine, but I'm getting less than half the framerates that I was on the old computer. There are multiple reasons for that, the CPU is a third slower, it's got half the memory, and it's not in a full PCIE x16 slot, but it's disturbing all the same. At least my more demanding games are playable again. I've got other priorities until Thanksgiving, but once Black Friday has passed I should be able to spend a day or two seeing what all is broken on the old computer. I think all the other parts are still under warranty.

Having coffee, watching Call the Midwife.
Working over in my mind the new novel I'm writing.

watching Andor. at least it is making a try to leverage the dismal star wars cultural phenomenon into something less dismally self referential.

Watching football and drinking coffee. My top choices for a new TV are out of stock at Amazon and Best Buy. I'm a bit concerned.

Scrolling news and am happy that the seemingly endless reports on the royals have been replaced by reports of Trump having hissy fits over the elections. He has even partially blamed Melania for his backing of the loser of Oz.

I wonder at what point overnight Trump started flinging dinnerware…

TIL. Big computers are heavy. Even with all the bits taken out of them.
