Even McCarthy withdrawing might not help. He’s made so many concessions to the Freedom Cossacks that ANY speaker is going to be rendered ineffectual.

It wouldn’t surprise me, though, to see McCarthy eventually win this thing, then be followed by a rapid succession of speakers.
