Pluto is cooler than the planets.

I once went to a planetarium and no one was there so I concluded that planets don't exist.

All these planets were named after gods. The names have lasted for hundred(s) of years. Therefore those gods must exist.

Pluto was good enough for me to learn about and for my kids to learn about.  I'm a little upset that my grandkids will never know the joy of there being nine planets in this solar system.  I think the demotion was uncalled for.

It all started when Marxists banned gas so Pluto lost all its gas and was aborted as a planet.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

many astronomers suspect there is in fact an additional undiscovered major body much more qualified to be called planet than pluto out there in the outer solar system to bring the number back up to 9.

The issue with including pluto to keep it at 9 is pluto is indistinguishable from a number of other objects we recently discovered beyond pluto. So including pluto as a planet through a systematic as oppose to arbitrary definition demands those other objects be classed as planets as well. There can be a very large number of these pluto like bodies in a broad band beyond pluto.

But personally I find it more interesting to describe the solar system as we currently know it - 8 planets plus a potentially very large number of still fairly hefty almost planets like Pluto, some of which are quite very exotic, then how we use to know it - 9 planets and some small rocks and snowballs.

Pluto should be grandfathered in.
