Ok. I'll leave you with this. I think you and I share the desire to help people with gender dysphoria. Now I am intimate with alcoholics in recovery. As long as an alcoholic thinks he doesn't have a problem, he will continue to drink. He must first accept that he is an alcoholic. An alcoholic can stop drinking, but he is always an alcoholic

Many times they think they've beaten the problem and they believe they are  longer alcoholics. The problem is, that's not the truth. They take a drink and they're right back where they began. It's only when they realize the truth that they can deal with the problem. He is an alcoholic, but he has the power to live a normal life. I wouldn't want to go along with him and urge him to drink.

A woman who has gender Dysphoria can accept their problem and if she wants to she act and appear as a man. She should not be deluded into believing she is really a man. That's why I fight for truth. It leads to problems on society such as biological men competing in women's sports, along with use of bathrooms and locker room for the opposite sex etc. If you're going to deal with a problem, you must first accept the facts concerning the problem.

Holy fuck, but you are a hateful, hurtful, and very fucking christian, person.

Well, theistic love comes not with the understanding of acceptance, but rather the conditions of villainous desire to correct that which isn't broken.

Being trans and being dysphoric is not the same thing. So right off the bat, you lie.

Being Trans is nothing like being an alcoholic one is a sickness the other is a personal identity

Quote:As long as an alcoholic thinks he doesn't have a problem, he will continue to drink.
Transpeople don't have a problem

Being Trans is normal you don't need to fix what isn't broken.

We're aware of the problems with alcoholism because of the direct effects of excessive alcohol to your brain. But what exactly is so bad about some people being transgendered?

We're not talking about gender dysphoria. We're talking about gender identity. Not everyone who is transgendered has gender dysphoria.

What is the delusion exactly, and what are the facts you speak of?

He hasn't got any facts. All he's got is his "Truth™" which is code for the bullshit the head witch doctor of his local chapter of Christers 'Я' Us spoon fed him.

More importantly alcoholism damages the liver, an organ vital for survival, and also leads to behavior directly destructive to self and others.     Transgenderism?

I might say Christianity has more in common with alcoholism than transgenderism.

You disagree with God when he commanded to kiil all gays?
When God dropped the old law and it was superseded, he did seem to change his (unchanging) mind, didnt he?

And your mistake is considering identity a mindset. That is a personality trait, essentially conflating some individuals' personality traits with a social category. When it comes to identity, its validity has nothing to do with how one sees oneself. All that matters, from an identity point of view is how other people see each other. You cannot take the social part out of what gender proponents have said for decades are socially constructed categories.

Feeling like an alien within your own skin, which is what I assume it feels like, would be a far deeper thing than just some arbitrary set of personality traits. The brain and its development is plastic, including in the realm of gender identity... distinct from biological sex; for most people they develop in tandem, but not everyone clearly. So in this world where there exists the means to create better harmony between those two aspects of a person, why would you deny that existential comfort to people just for the sake of better being able to pigeon-hole them by what is, or was, in their pants?
