The Moral Doctrine of Christianity is summed up in Love your neighbor as yourself, and Do unto others as you would have them do unto yourself, as the Divine Founder of the Christian Church clearly declared in His Gospel. Whoever violates these, Christian or non-Christian - and Christians who do will be penalized by God more severely because they're considered by God to have greater knowledge of good and evil, and thus higher accountability - commits sins.

"Well, I'm just thinking of the Bad Old Days, before people started saying that everyone has [or should have] equal rights.
Like in Ancient Greece or Rome, it was just assumed that a person who is athletic, good-looking, rich, speaks well, reasons well, and has leadership abilities in politics and war, is just a superior person and ought to have more power and privilege. The thought that someone who is the opposite of all these things should somehow have equality would have seemed unnatural back then.
You can say, "well, we just changed our minds," but that doesn't really explain to me why or when our values changed. Or whether our current thinking is somehow more "natural," or likely to endure."
Except for the being-against-infanticide part, I honestly don't believe people's current way of thinking IS natural, however I do think it is better. I honestly can't name when our views changed either, but I think our views started to change when wars became less necessary and humans started focusing more on intellectual matters rather than fighting and killing one another. Murder became less and less common, and more frowned upon.

You must, however, from this adduce that morals change over time, as you tacitly admit here.
Or you might simply say that you support Biblical slavery and be honest about it.
You cannot, however, argue that the Bible is inerrant and argue that slavery is wrong -- unless you admit that morality is relative and/or subjective, or put shortly, not absolute.
This is the Christian conundrum, and on more issues than slavery. Morality is both relative and subjective, but you cannot acknowledge that without undermining your own god's alleged moral authority.

This is NOT The Moral Doctrine of Christianity, but a PR scam of Christianity.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Quote:I gave the example of those Native Indians in America who had never heard of Christ but were sincerely serving God and loving their neighbor before Missionary Priests met with them. Then they heard about the True God who loves them with Perfect Love and wants to give them Eternal Happiness and became Christian.
They served a god and not murdering your neighbors is not exclusive to Christianity. So this is a very foolish statement

Someone should have told the Gospel Writers. Who knew that some Angels secretly went back in time and re-edited the Gospels to say Love your Neighbor as yourself is the highest of all Commandments along with the Love of God and that he who loves has fulfilled the law, and that Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, is all the Law and the Prophets. Dr. Martin Luther King, a Devout Christian Pastor, knew and did this, and that's why Racism (largely) ended. The 2000 year Gospel, the Gospel Alone, the Holy Gospel, the Eternal Gospel, the Solution, the Only Solution, The Only Answer, the Only Way to Heaven, and an Extraordinary Cure for almost all of the world's moral problems including racism, slavery, abortionism, infanticide, baby-killing and the racist eugenicist bad policies of Darwin, Marx, Sanger, and Nietzche. Not to mention that Sexual Pervert Alfred Kinsey, the father of the modern sexual revolution.
