For me it was a way to AVOID employment. I retired with a disability rating of 100%. Then I applied to the state of Indiana for vocational rehabilitation and they offered me a full ride at Purdue. I took that and the VA pitched in with more funds. Fourteen years to get a Masters, cause my paw hurt, or something like that. When I finally left Purdue they wrote off all my student loans.

Best job I ever had.

From what you've said, the degree requires the commitment to persevere through hardship. It sounds like you're on the fence here. Hardly evidence of any such attitude.

Well, I did get commendations from the Army, Navy and Marine Corps for the work I did while I was at Purdue. The Navy sent me the entire forty volume Pearl Harbor Attack Hearings. People list my online site, Hyperwar, as one of the best on net. I did have one college QB that expected me to do his homework. I explained that I no intention of letting him breeze through the course. I traded him for a student that was struggling with the material. I'm usually seriously short on hero worship. I've met real ones.

Then what’s the problem? You had mental health issues during your first degree and you made it through. What makes you think it’ll stop you from completing your masters?

Boru

Because it almost made me drop out from my Bachelor, and Masters is more difficult than the Bachelor.

I talked to my psychiatrist today and she increased my doses of both Alprazolam and Risperidone and told me not to try to get a job in the next few months.
