Me? That was just after I retired from the USN, I'd worked a comparatively large amount of time on PCs and had fun. I thought "Computer Technology" sounded cool.* Turns out its Common Business Oriented Language and used by banks and the like. Dreary.


*I later found out computer graphics was available, but only after I switched to History.

Concur. The two years would replace perhaps five years of OJT.

On the other paw I got my Masters because they made me take it. Got sick while heading for my doctorate and just didn't have the strength to hit the books hard any more.

I'd suggest taking a year off to get a job and see what you really want after having some added perspective.

The problem is that I think it is very hard to get a job in this economic climate. The economy is, by some metrics, doing worse now than in 2020.
